Always a lover of a good story, Ms. Mayhew is a graduate of New York’s prestigious The Juilliard School, Drama Division, where her immersion in Shakespeare and Shaw (and long nights secretly reading trashy novels) certainly set her on the road to becoming a writer.

After returning home to Los Angeles, Ms. Mayhew became a successful television writer/producer. Television writing credits include THE X-FILES (Fox) - for which she was one of the writers awarded the Writers Guild Certificate of Achievement “101 Best Written Television Series” - CHARMED (WB), THE FUGITIVE (CBS), VENGEANCE UNLIMITED (ABC) and THE INVISIBLE MAN (SyFy). After taking a multi-year hiatus to focus on family, directing theater and graduate school, Ms. Mayhew returned to the world of television with pilot deals at Mandeville Entertainment/ABC Studios and NBC/Universal Cable Productions.

Ms. Mayhew is thrilled that her first novels were recently published with acclaim, THE CAT LADY CHRONICLES, a paranormal trilogy co-authored with New York Times Bestselling author Susan Donovan.

When not sowing supernatural mischief, Ms. Mayhew is a university screenwriting instructor at USC School of Cinematic Arts, Woodbury University, and Mount St. Mary’s University.
